In our last video we shared about our NEW BUS!

This last spring we embarked on an inspiring camp build trip to Eastern Arizona.

Partnering with our church, we joined efforts to support the Arizona Eagle Creek Retreat, a place conceived to serve underprivileged children. The journey to the camp took us through breathtaking landscapes, from expansive copper mines to the scenic mountain switchbacks that eventually led us to our destination. Our mission was to help construct a staff cabin, an endeavor that turned out both challenging and rewarding due to the kits being made in a Lincoln Log style, with instructions in Dutch. It took our small crew several days to complete, but the sense of accomplishment was immense.

Aside from the construction, it was wonderful to engage our boys in various supportive roles, from preparing meals to helping with animal care. The retreat offered them an opportunity to understand the importance of service and the beauty of living in a community dedicated to faith and self-sufficiency. Our host, Mary Kay, shared her inspiring journey on how this retreat came to life after her husband’s passing, with God leading her to establish a camp for children. The trip was a very meaningful experience, and we’re excited to return soon for another build, contributing to this incredible vision for the camp.
